You don’t have to be born with a beautiful smile to have one. Sarah, 29, from Hastings, has changed her outlook on life thanks to an entire dental makeover. Sarah, who works in the public sector, hadn’t exactly planned on this but a problem with an old crown prompted her to seek a full consultation on all her teeth. Following a treatment plan proposed by Dr Hanna of The White House Dental Clinic Sarah now has amazing teeth – a true Hollywood smile.

Why did you decide to have the procedure?
I was incredibly conscious of my smile and because of problems with tetracycline staining the enamel of my teeth was weak and very discoloured. When an old crown on one of my front teeth broke I decided to do something more permanent about it. I was always very self-conscious about my smile. In fact, I really hated my teeth.
What was the first step?
I did a lot of research into dental clinics in the area and finally decided to visit The White House clinic in Eastbourne. It has a good reputation and lots of experience in cosmetic procedures. During the first consultation, Dr Hanna explained a range of options available to me and also what outcome I could expect. After some thought, I decided to embark on an entire dental ‘up- grade’!
What was your treatment?
I had veneers put on most of my teeth. A veneer is when a thin layer of tooth-coloured material, usual porcelain, is fitted over a discoloured tooth. In total, I had four veneers fitted on my lower teeth and a further ten crowns on my upper teeth.
How long did it take?
Around three months from start to finish or five appointments in total.
How do you feel and look now?
I feel great and my teeth look perfect. Even total strangers have commented on how fantastic my teeth look. It’s a real confidence boost!
Are you happy with the results?
Yes, I certainly am. My teeth are straight, white and really perfect. Dr Hanna also corrected my bite during the treatment too. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome.
Given the opportunity, would you do it again?
Most certainly. It is the best thing that has happened, in respect of my teeth. I used to dread looking at photos of myself because of my teeth. That’s all changed now thanks to Dr Hanna and the staff at The White House Dental Clinic for the great care and attention.
How did you pay for the treatment?
I had some savings of my own which I put towards the treatment and the balance I am paying monthly on a 0% finance plan provided by The White House Dental Clinic, so it’s not too painful at all.
What advice would you give to someone looking to achieve the same result?
It is important to establish exactly what procedure is proposed, what experience the dentist has in this field of work, the total cost of the treatment and what the alternatives are. You will be spending a lot of time, effort and money, so be sure that you know what you are getting at the end of the treatment.
